Thirteen years ago today, I opened The Table with a simple vision: to become a gathering place where our community could break bread together.
At the time, it felt like a risky venture in a small town many considered to be dying. But over the years, The Table has become something far more beautiful than I could have imagined.
These tables have held first dates and old friends, weddings and funerals, family meals and business meetings, little ones growing up from sticky hands to serving hands on our team. What began in the heart of Asheboro has stretched far beyond the corners of our town and Randolph County, becoming a wide and generous community woven into the tapestry of our story.
And today, on our golden birthday, I can’t help but see so many golden threads!
To our team, past and present: thank you. You have carried my vision with your hands, your hearts, your creativity, your resilience, and your care. You have helped make The Table more than a place to eat. You have helped make it a place where people feel seen, welcomed, and at home. (These photos of you say it all!)
To Asheboro, Randolph County, and every guest who has found their way to our doors: thank you for showing up again and again. Thank you for making our Table an extension of your home.
Together, you have helped breathe life back into our town. It is all I could have hoped for and more.
With full hearts, we celebrate 13 years of belonging, inspiration, and community.
Welcome to your seat at The Table.
