A Difficult Goodbye (For Now) đź‘‹
This is the hardest post we've had to write, but we need to share some important news: This week will be the final week of service for the Lokum food truck.
Bringing Gino's Turkish food dream to life was the realization of a lifelong goal for us. Gino (the Turkish half of the team!) poured everything he had into this truck—building the business, working 12+ hour days solo, and pushing through last winter's freezing cold.
We are incredibly proud of the amazing food we served and the wonderful community we found. It was your enthusiasm and support that kept us going through those chilly months! However, the financial strain, rising costs, and demands of the business have made it impossible for us to continue operating the truck right now. We have to make a smart financial decision for our family.
We are NOT dissolving the business. This is a necessary pause to regroup. We are hoping to take another stab at this dream next spring, but that is still up in the air for now.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for being the most supportive and loyal customers we could have ever asked for.
Your Final Chances for Lokum!
Please come see us and say "görüşürüz" (see you later) at our final stops:
FRIDAY 10/17: McFleshman's | 4 PM - 8 PM
SATURDAY 10/18 (LAST SERVICE): Tandem Wine & Beer | 2:30 PM - 6:30 PM
Until then, thank you for letting us share a little piece of Turkey with you. 🙏
