If you’ve been planning to check out the Smoke Yard, today is your shot (with the fires it may be slightly smokier than normal)

Due to private catering events and Paperfest this Saturday, today will be the only day we’re open this week.

We’ll be serving:
11 AM – 1 PM
5 PM – 7 PM
(or until we’re sold out)

We’ll have our full food truck menu ready to roll, plus The Cup and the Gravedigger available for specials.

Well… that’s a wrap.

The Smoke Yard is OFFICIALLY SOLD OUT for the week!

What started as an idea has turned into something pretty damn cool. Whether you stopped by for lunch, grabbed dinner, brought your family out, or simply shared a post, thank you for supporting us 🤘

We’ve learned a ton over these first few days, and we’re already making improvements and planning some fun new specials for next week. This place is only going to get better.

We’ll be back next week with the smokers fired up and plenty more BBQ.

Day 2 in the books…..

Another awesome turnout. We had a ton of people stop by to hang out and eat some BBQ. Some of you came looking for us, and others said they just smelled the smokers driving down the street. Either way, we’re glad you found us. Thank you to everyone who came out today. 🙏

A couple things we learned today…

First, don’t be surprised if you start seeing random specials pop up. Richie and I threw a couple pork tenderloins on the smoker tonight just because we wanted some for ourselves. Then we sold out of pulled pork, so we chopped up the tenderloin and made some Pork Tenderloin Mac Bowls… and honestly, they turned out ridiculously good. That’s kind of the vibe we’re going for out here. If we’re cooking something that sounds awesome, we’re probably going to put it on the menu for the day.

Second, I had no idea how many families with kids would be coming out. We absolutely love seeing it. If you have ideas for games, activities, or anything fun we can add to keep the little ones entertained while everyone hangs out, drop your suggestions in the comments. We want this place to feel like you’re spending the evening in a buddy’s backyard.

One more thing… what do you guys think about this?

Photo of an idea I’m kicking around, The Carnivore Platter…… ½ lb chopped brisket, ½ lb pulled pork, and ½ lb jalapeño cheddar sausage piled onto one big platter. A lot of folks have been asking for something like this!

Shout out to Appleton and every single person who stopped by today. What an awesome turnout.

Today taught me a lot, and there are definitely a few adjustments we need to make.

The biggest issue was simply finding us. I’ll be posting a video showing everyone exactly where we’re located, and we’ll be getting signage up immediately. We wanted to build some really cool custom signs, but for now we’ll have yard signs directing everyone right to us.

I also wanted to share the vision for this place.

I want it to feel like you’re hanging out in your buddy’s backyard… and I just happen to be the guy cooking the barbecue.

Today was the first time I really got to see that vision starting to come together. Seeing everyone hanging out, eating good food, and just enjoying the atmosphere made all the hard work worth it.

This is only the beginning. We’ll keep improving, keep adding to the space, and keep building it into something really special.

Thank you guys. We can’t wait to show you what’s next. 🙏🤘
