Ambridge has signs now, Midtown, which raises an important local question: what are all the named parts of Ambridge?

We know some locals say LA, Lower Ambridge, and the Historic District. What else should be on the list?

Turtle Racing

What started as a father and son's idea after watching turtle races on YouTube has become an Ambridge tradition.

"We thought we were silly enough to try this, and we've tried it, and it has become an Ambridge staple," said organizer Jeffrey DeCeder. "The support from the community is humbling."

The monthly event benefits Riker's Heart Heroes and helps support the cardiac unit at Children's Hospital, while bringing families together for an afternoon of turtle races, games, food, vendors, and fun.

For Debbie Poole, the trip from Raccoon Township was well worth it.

"We came to join our grandchildren and see the turtle races," she said. "They're little, they're two and three, and they've been playing on things and racing turtles. It's so nice. It's a really nice community event."

Missed this month's races?

📅 The next Ambridge Turtle Races will take place on July 18.

Come cheer on the turtles and support a great cause.

New Boutique Opens in Ambridge's Historic District

Little Bear and Bean Boutique, LLC has officially opened its first brick-and-mortar location at 1221 Merchant Street in Ambridge after serving customers online for more than seven years.
Owner Carrie Gregory said opening a storefront in Ambridge felt like the perfect fit.

"I absolutely love the historic district, and I fell in love with the building," Gregory said. "We've always been thinking about opening a storefront, and this was just perfect."

The boutique offers trendy women's clothing, children's clothing, accessories, gifts, and seasonal items.

Customers from across Beaver County attended the opening, including Melissa Landsbaugh of Beaver Falls.
"We follow her everywhere she goes. All her vendor shows, we go to all of them just to see her and the different designs," said Landsbaugh. "Usually, we shop for my granddaughter, who is a year and a half old, and she's the best-dressed one-and-a-half-year-old because of the boutique."

Little Bear & Bean Boutique is open Wednesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Customers can also shop online link in the comments.
