Islamic Restaurant was founded by Mr Abdul Rahman, the master chef of the famous Alsagoff family. His wonderful dishes had tantalised many guests of the famous Arab trader, Syed Ahmad Alsagof, so much so that he decided to start a restaurant on his own at North Bridge Road. Islamic Restaurant had earned for itself a very good reputation as an excellent Muslim restaurant serving delicious and uniqu

e tasting Nasi Beryani and other curry dishes. Its distinctive and large food repertoire had tantalised the taste buds of not just the ordinary man on the street, but many an important official, including the late Singapore President, Mr. Wee Chong Jin and the Singaporean Ministers and even the royal Brunei and Malaysian families from its inception till this day, a total of more than 90 years of dedicated operations. Abdul Rahman is running the restaurant and they continue to serve those same wonderful family secret recipes. Islamic now has a Catering Unit, a Home delivery Unit (Dial-a-Beryani) and a frozen food Production (for home consumption and catering) businesses.
