This might sound insane but ramen you eat by dipping exists in Japan 🤯🍜

It’s called tsukemen, and instead of one combined bowl, the noodles and broth are intentionally served separately.

This keeps the broth extra concentrated and the noodles perfectly textured. Every bite is dipped fresh, so the flavour is stronger and more controlled - just how you like it 🫶🏼

Thought this was served wrong at first 😳 But tsukemen is actually meant to be like this!

It started in Tokyo in the late 1950s when a ramen shop owner tried serving noodles and broth separately, with a stronger broth made just for dipping 🍜

People loved it because the noodles stayed chewier, the flavour hit harder, and every bite felt more intentional.

Fast forward to today - it went from a “weird idea” in Tokyo to a cult-favourite ramen style worldwide 😮‍💨

Basically, someone broke the rules of ramen and created a whole new category. So now we’re bringing it to Christchurch so you can experience your own dipping ramen!
