It’s becoming more common for me to receive AI images as inspiration for custom cakes. I always explain that the cake won’t look exactly like the picture, as it’s handmade work vs a digitally generated image.
•
Sometimes the cakes can’t be replicated at all for many reasons, and I’ll always explain that to my customers. But those images can definitely be helpful as inspiration and a reference for the design, rather than something to be copied exactly (I can’t even replicate my own cakes hehe)
•
This cake was inspired by an AI image and we absolutely loved the result — both me and the customer 😍 swipe to see the inspiration 🤗🎂✨☀️

Calling all mermaids… 🐚✨
•
This September marks 10 years of Oh Sweetie! and I can hardly believe I’m writing that 🤍
•
Ten years of cakes, celebrations, beautiful people and so many special moments. And just over a year ago, another little dream came true when I opened the doors to my own cake studio here in Browns Bay.
•
I’ve received so much love and support from you over the years, and somehow we’ve created this beautiful little cake community along the way. So this feels like the perfect time to give a little bit of that love back 🤍
🎂
I’m giving away this beautiful cake to one of you! 🐚✨
🎂✨❤️
To enter:
• follow Oh Sweetie! Cakes | Auckland, North Shore
• like this post
• tag someone you’d love to share this cake with — your BFF mermaid totally counts 😌🧜‍♀️💜

•
I’ll draw the winner on Monday, and the cake will be ready to collect from my Browns Bay studio on Tuesday, 22 September.
•
Thank you for being part of these 10 years! Whether you’ve ordered a cake, recommended Oh Sweetie! to a friend, joined one of my Cake & Sips, stopped by the shop or simply followed along. It all means so much. 🤍
Good luck, mermaids! 🐚✨
