Can you sing? Play an instrument? Do both? Or even recite poetry?
Why not join us at our popular Open Mic Night? This is a monthly event, on the second Thursday of the month and the next one is Thursday 10th September.
There is usually a good crowd, and lots of willing performers, so even if you don't feel brave enough to get up in front of the mic, it is a great opportunity to enjoy a night out at the pub and be entertained for free.

If you are dreading the looming onset of autumn, we have the solution. Fill your diary with some fun events to look forward to.
What better way to embrace the 'ber' months than with a bit of creativity?
Never painted before? Or not sure of your skills? Don't worry, the evening is led by experienced tutors who guide you through each step so that you have a beautiful piece of art to take home with you. All whilst enjoying some lovely music and your favourite drink from the bar (paid separately).

The Bank Holiday didn't quite go to plan!
But today is a new month, and whilst the 'ber' months aren't always welcomed, especially after a glorious summer, we have so much to look forward to in September.
Did you know we have a world-famous rock band in our village? Ok, they may not be at the dizzying heights of superstardom, but there are definitely some.people living as far afield as Australia who know who they are!
If you have never seen Logical Park perform where HAVE you been? Don't worry though, you can rectify that by coming along to their next gig at The Swan on Saturday 19th September. It will be loud, it will be lively, and it will be great!!

Because of on-going issues with our cellar which I should know more about tomorrow or Tuesday there is a possibility that we may not be open until Thursday this week but I will update as soon as I know more

It's a Bank Holiday, which means it is raining!!
Perfect weather to enjoy a Sunday Roast in our lovely, cosy village pub.
As it is a bank holiday our wonderful French Chef, Stephane is cooking one of the most traditional English dishes - roast beef, Yorkshire pudding and all the trimmings. Roast pork is also on the menu this week.
Whilst we can often accommodate walk-ins, we can't guarantee availability, so it's always best to book a table in advance. Give us a call on 01962-760470

Just a little reminder that Becky will be with us this afternoon from 2.30pm for all your sharpening needs. It's a wet and miserable day, so why not make the most of it and get your carving knives sharpened, ready for all those autumn roast dinners.

This is a busy and popular event, so arrive early to get your team and table set up.
Tom, our fabulous Quiz Master starts proceedings at 8pm, and whilst it can be quite competitive, we always have a really fun and social evening.
Food is served from 6pm to 8pm, with a wide selection available on our menu, including the delicious Homemade Pies by Ethel.

DATE FOR YOUR DIARY!
Thursday 17th September is our final Bike Night of the season. Whether you ride a bike or not, whether it is fuel injected or pedal power, come and join us for a fun night.
Hopefully the weather in mid September is fine and dry, the perfect reason to get those bikes out and come visit The Swan.
Not only is it Bike Night, but we also have the wonderful team of DJs from the Vinyl Sessions here to spin your favourite tunes. The August session was so much fun, let's see if we can make the September one even better.
See you on 17th September, from 6pm for music and bikes.
Our kitchen also opens at 6pm for a wide selection of food, including the delicious and ever-popular Homemade Pies by Ethel.

The lovely Becky will be visiting the Swan Inn next Saturday afternoon from 2.30pm to help you get all those garden tools, kitchen knives and scissors back to full performance.
You may remember that Becky often came along on the afternoons of our Repair Cafe. She was often busy and offers a fantastic service.
There's no need to book a slot, just turn up. If there's a queue, why not sit in our beautiful garden with a glass of something cold, or a cuppa whilst you wait your turn?
