Weekends at the Boat.

Gap glaem - the Thai tradition of dishes eaten alongside drinks - takes over as the night rolls on.

Our late-night menu keeps the tables moving with plates like Crispy Pork with Chilli & Garlic, Chicken Skins with Zaep Seasoning and Wide Rice Noodles with Beef, while upstairs the pool table is free to play all night long.

Food on the table, drinks in hand, next game already racked up.

A moment for the pie.

Pineapple Pie with Taro Ice Cream - a true Speedboat classic.

Crisp, golden pastry giving way to hot, sticky pineapple, with a cold scoop of taro ice cream melting slowly into every corner. Very difficult to share.

FROM OUR NEW MENU. ⚡️

Prawn & Squid with Chilli Jam.

A new wok-fired favourite: nham prik pao lends a deep savoury sweetness, the fierce heat catching lightly at the edges of fresh prawns and squid, with a jammy sauce left for spooning over rice.

The first in a run of new dishes we’re getting to know at Speedboat Soho. Available in Soho only, for now.

Snakeblood Negroni.

A glass is good; a bottle is better.

Our house Negroni gets its distinct tang from a distillate of wild pomelo, calamansi, and som saa citrus grown at Ryewater Nursery - cutting cleanly through a classic base of vermouth and gin.

Order it by the glass, or get a bottle involved and let it see you through a few rounds of pool in Soho or shuffleboard in Notting Hill.

NEW MENU. 14TH SEPTEMBER. SOHO.

A fresh line-up lands at the Boat this month.

Crunchy mama noodle & cured pork salad, fried chicken scattered with cashews and dried chilli, jute leaves with prawns, crispy pork with chilli & garlic, prawn & squid with chilli jam, and plenty more are joining the table.

Fear not, your Speedboat favourites aren’t going anywhere - our Wide Rice Noodles, Tom Yam Mama and Prawn Ceviche are all staying firmly on board.

Bangkok’s late-night dining rooms, transported to Soho.

New menu launches Monday 14th September.

Minced Beef with Holy Basil.

One of Thailand’s most recognisable stir-fries cooked over fierce heat as the beef catches in the wok alongside garlic, chilli, and handfuls of holy basil. We use a mixture of ‘red’ and ‘white’ holy basil and clove basil which is the historic pairing with beef

Eaten the only way it should be: with a generous mound of jasmine rice and a crisp, golden fried egg, ready for the yolk to flood through the entire dish

Cafe Maprao.

The streets of Bangkok run on iced coffees, often seen swinging precariously from scooter handlebars in nothing but a plastic bag.

Ours stacks Thai coffee with condensed milk and thick coconut milk foam, finished with coconut sprinkles.

Rich, ice cold, and never far from hand once the curries arrive.

The Speedboat Bar Team back on the water, with the same speed and noise that gave us our name. Watching our friends who actually race these things makes our restaurant pace look almost leisurely.

Turns out the same hands that flip a wok on our turbo charged burners are pretty handy on a throttle too...

Kicking off the World Cup at Speedboat Soho! 🍻

A big thank you to everyone who joined us for England V Croatia last week - b**r towers landed thick and fast, plates sprawled over tables, and England put in 98 solid minutes in between.

If you’re a fan of crispy pork, cold Singhas, from kick-off to full-time, then we’ll be doing it all again tonight. And again on Saturday!
