Looking for a festive evening to get you properly into the Christmas spirit? Join us at The Crown Inn for a brand-new Christmas Wreath Making Workshop on Wednesday 2nd December. ✨

Hosted by from Blakes of Bookham Florist, you’ll spend around two hours creating your very own beautiful Christmas wreath to take home.

And because wreath-making is better with a little Christmas cheer… there’ll be mulled w**e or bubbles, plus festive sharing plates and nibbles to enjoy along the way. 🥂

From the field to the Crown Inn

As part of British Food Fortnight, we’re celebrating some of the brilliant local suppliers who help us put good food on your plate.

This week, we had a delivery of fresh, locally grown veg from Derek Crush at Daylands Farm in Ashurst – and we couldn’t resist getting a few snaps of Derek dropping it off!

We’re lucky to have fantastic growers and producers right on our doorstep, and using local ingredients wherever we can is something we’re really proud of.

Celebrating British Food Fortnight Love British Food

We’re proud to work with some brilliant local suppliers, and this week we’re putting one of them in the spotlight.

Our current special features Clayfield Farm loin of pork, wrapped in Serrano ham and served with mashed potato, fennel cream, toasted walnuts and honey-roast carrot.

With British Food Fortnight coming up, we’re celebrating some of the incredible British produce we have right here on our doorstep, and for us, that starts with knowing where our ingredients come from.

This week, our Head Chef took delivery of a whole pig from local Clayfield Farm in Barns Green.

Rather than seeing it as one ingredient for one dish, we’re making the most of the whole animal, from pork belly for our Sunday roasts, to pork for the pie menu and other cuts making their way into our specials.

Good British produce, from a local farm, cooked properly.

Keep an eye out for what makes it onto the menu over the next couple of weeks…
