Our festive celebrations will take place every Thursday, Friday and Saturday and we still have availability! ✨

⚡ CLOSED MONDAY 21ST – WE’RE GETTING WINTER READY! ⚡

A little heads-up to all our customers and local community.

We normally open from 5pm on Mondays, but on Monday 21st we’ll be closed for the entire day and evening while some important electrical work takes place.

After the all-too-frequent local power cuts last winter, we’ve decided to invest in a new system that will allow The George & Dragon to continue running on generators during a power cut.

Once the work is complete, if the local area loses power, we’ll be able to keep the pub running – meaning we can still:

🍽️ Serve hot food and drinks
☕ Provide somewhere warm and safe to come
📶 Keep internet/Wi-Fi available
🔌 Provide power for essential devices
❤️ Offer a place for our local community to go during an outage

Our electrical contractors will be working throughout Monday and into the evening to get everything completed as quickly as possible and with minimal disruption.

We know how disruptive the power cuts were for everyone last year, so we hope this investment means that whatever the winter throws at us, The George & Dragon can keep its doors open for our community.

We’ll be back open as normal after the work is completed.
