π LORD LOXLEYβS LAST DRIVE
Thursday 22nd October
Sham loved cars. But more than that, he loved the people, the conversations and the friendships that came with them.
He brought so many of us together, and now itβs our turn to come together for him.
Weβll be gathering at The Bedford Arms, Oakley, and The Compasses, Greenfield, for a cuppa before heading over to give our friend the send-off he would have wanted.
All cars, bikes, buggies, tractors and everything in between are welcome. Sham loved them all! Whatever you drive or ride, come along. π
β 10:00: Free Tea & Coffee
π 10:30: Convoys leave both pubs
π 11:30: Parked Up @ Norse Road
Asha has asked for vehicles to line Norse Road, from the crematorium to the bypass, for Sham to pass on his final journey. A road lined with the people and machines he loved feels a fitting tribute to our friend.
The service is at 12 noon, with an outdoor projector screen at Norse Road Crematorium for those wishing to attend.
Afterwards, youβre welcome to join the wake at the Temple, or come back to either pub to stand around, chat about cars, share a few stories and raise a glass to Sham.
Thereβll be some tears, undoubtedly some laughter, and plenty of βdo you remember whenβ¦β moments. Heβs given us enough of those to keep us talking for years.
Remember him however feels right to you. Weβll put the kettle on and make room for the memories.
Letβs give Lord Loxley one last gathering to be proud of. π
Please share with his friends, clubs and anyone who would like to join us.
