If you haven't tried some of our new dishes you really should. I think this is one of the best menus we have produced with a great balance of classics and autumnal braises that are hearty and full of flavour. Venison, ox cheek, calves liver are all on the menu and we also have a 24oz t-bone on the menu as a special this weekend with a black and blue sauce.

Mussels are back on our menu. Lots of you said you love mussels but as a main course they just aren't substantial enough so we did the only logical thing. Now you can enjoy them as a starter, get your fix then fill up on a main course. Remember it's steak night tonight and we also have some lovely specials. Calves liver and bacon is now a permanent fixture aswell.

Lots of new dishes and specials on the menu at the moment. Venison shepherd's pie? Lamb shank with redcurrant jus, roast pork with confit garlic. My favourite time of the year to cook as most things are in the oven for 15 hours and fall apart. We also have a panettone bread and butter pudding with cranberry and orange ready right on cue to see the Autumn in.

Some of you will know but most won't that i am a little bit mad about motorsport and have raced karts for many years, winning countless races in endurance and sprint in multiple categories and even becoming a Pro-Kart champion. These days time is just not there to enter a championship but every year i like to get at least one race in and its usually for charity. This year i have entered the Karun Chandhok Karting festival which is a week on Sunday. Karun is the pundit on sky F1 and hopefully we will be racing him.
It turns out my team at The White Hart also have an interest in motorsport and we have decided to all go together for a staff day out. No pressure on me with my team watching but that's what we are doing on the 4th of October so unfortunately the pub will be closed while we all go eat pizza and have a race! On the left is a pic of our endurance team from another decade. The other was last years charity event we entered finishing in 3rd. Not bad to 2 old fellas up against 55kg 16 year old's. Hopefully we still have it in 2 weeks. Fingers crossed for the White Hart Karting Team!

Our Sunday lunches are what we are most proud of. Not just beef or pork but ox cheek, lamb, sometimes roast duck and always 4 different vegetarian options.
We only use the best ingredients and you certainly won't be leaving hungry.

Not sure what Harry is baking today but he seems to be going big! Save some eggs and butter for me!! Happy hour as always today between 3.30 and 5pm. We are fully booked tonight but we have some lunch tables free today and only 3 tables left for lunch tomorrow. Have a great weekend everyone.
