It’s not the busy shifts.
It’s not remembering who ordered what.
It’s watching plate after plate of food come out of the kitchen and having to remind yourself:
“That’s for the customer.” 😭😂
Honestly, working around food that smells this good all day should come with some sort of hazard pay.
And if you ever catch one of us staring lovingly at your dinner as we bring it over… don’t worry. We’re just saying goodbye. 👋🍔

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for our Ibiza Vibes Day at The Boat! 💚

The drinks were flowing, the tunes were playing, the sun made an appearance and, most importantly, you lot brought the good vibes. ☀️🎶🍹

It was brilliant seeing so many of you relaxing, having a laugh and enjoying the afternoon with us — exactly the kind of atmosphere we'd hoped for when we planned it!

A big thank you from all of us at The Boat Inn for coming along and making the day what it was. 🥰

There's always plenty happening behind the scenes at The Boat.
Tables being set, glasses being polished, food being prepped, somebody asking where something has disappeared to for the fifth time… 😂
It's all part of getting The Boat ready to welcome you.
We're incredibly lucky to have the team we do, and while you normally only see the finished result, there's a lot of work (and usually quite a bit of chaos!) that goes into every service. 💚
So here's a little appreciation post for the people behind it all.

Gather the family, bring your favourite people and leave the cooking (and the washing up!) to us.

Think proper Sunday roasts, plenty of gravy, golden Yorkshires and all the bits that make a Sunday dinner exactly what it should be. 🤤

And if choosing just one meat isn't happening, there's always our Sunday Trio. 👀

Our Sunday service starts from 12pm, and tables can fill up quickly, so we'd recommend getting yourself booked in.
