On September 8 we are welcoming musician and knitter Albert Reinholdt Østergaard, as the first guest in a new series, An Evening with Prolog.

Since 2022, award-winning bassist, composer, and knitwear designer Albert Reinholdt Østergaard has performed to packed houses across the country with his musical knitting narrative, Bær Dine Fejl (Wear Your Mistakes)—and now he is coming your way.
Accompanied by his faithful friend—his double bass, Ælse—he will lead sing-alongs, share humorous tall tales about knitting in Cuban dance clubs, and, above all, create an intimate atmosphere that celebrates the human vulnerability we all experience. Drawing on Albert’s own personal story, the evening explores themes such as bullying and self-esteem.

Albert also discusses the healing power knitting has held for him, the clear similarities and crucial differences he sees between playing music and knitting, and how one can knit the free spirit of jazz into a sweater—a concept he calls “improvisational knitting.”

So grab your knitting needles, warm up your vocal cords, and join us for an evening of top-notch entertainment as Albert strikes up the tune on his bass.

We are on the look out for our new Assistant Roastery Manager :))

As Assistant Roastery Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of the roastery, working closely with and reporting directly to our Head of Sourcing and Roasting.

In this role, you will be expected to approach your work with a strong sense of responsibility and care, always striving to make socially and environmentally conscious decisions that reflect Prolog Coffee’s values and long-term vision.

We are looking for someone who is organised, detail-oriented and motivated by creating structure and consistency in the production environment. This role is well suited to someone who is proactive and dependable, with the ability to seamlessly balance production responsibilities alongside planning, communication, and problem-solving. This hands-on role includes receiving and moving green coffee, organising inventory, and requires comfort with some heavy lifting.

An interest in coffee roasting, quality control, and operational improvement is important, as well as a willingness to learn and develop within the role. Experience working in a roastery is a plus, but curiosity, responsibility, and a strong work ethic matter just as much.

Start date - August 31

This role is part-time (30 hours) from Monday to Friday. Possibility of full time in the future.
