A little while ago, Little Mushroom That Could gifted me a beautiful Blue King Oyster mushroom to experiment with. 🍄

So, naturally, I had to get creative!

I marinated it, hot-seared it, then shredded it and paired it with a silky beetroot purée and cilantro foam.

Earthy, savoury, fresh, and absolutely delicious!

I love getting my hands on unique local ingredients and exploring what I can create with them. A big thank you to Little Mushroom That Could for the inspiration! ❤️

I’m a Red Seal Chef, with a background as the head chef of various remote luxury lodges across British Columbia. I started Take Home Chef to bring a little bit of that experience back home to Winnipeg with me. We're talking about great food, w**e and company around the table.

Imagine a gorgeous, curated tasting menu, prepared for you in your own kitchen, so you can relax, enjoy with company, and let someone else do the cooking... And cleaning for that matter!
