Although it might be challenging for our local audience to visit this exhibition in person, perhaps some might be interested in attending this online webinar from the Smithsonian's National Museum of Asian Art:
https://asia.si.edu/whats-on/events/search/event:189437541/

In this webinar, three experts explore the past and present of Japanese tea practice through their unique perspectives as a curator (Louise Cort), a tea practitioner/collector (Gregory Kinsey), and an art historian (Andrew Watsky). This program is part of an online series celebrating the current exhibition Reasons to Gather: Japanese Tea Practice Unwrapped.

Step back in time with us on Saturday, April 26, when we return to the historic Roedde House Museum this time offering a traditional Japanese incense experience with The Dōjin Japanese Arts Society. After an introduction and overview of Japanese incense culture in the parlour, we will gather around the dining room table for a scent-matching game that will test your ability to distinguish among three different naturally aromatic woods. We are looking forward to sharing this contemplative experience in this special space.

We look forward to sharing more Japanese arts with you this year through classes at SaBi Tea Arts and public programming by The Dōjin Japanese Arts Society.
