There are no shortcuts to the perfect bite.

At the heart of our signature Ann Butter sandwich is our house-made red bean paste. While it takes hours of patience and careful simmering to prepare, the result is worlds apart from anything store-bought—velvety, subtly sweet, and rich in tradition. 🫘✨

We serve it the authentic way: with a generous, thick slice of plant-based butter. This sweet-and-savoury pairing is a beloved staple in Japan, and we couldn’t be more excited to share this piece of Japanese cafe culture with Vancouver.

Starting on this Saturday, we’re bringing one of our popular desserts from our evening face, COFU Chinatown , to Hush — so you can now enjoy it during the day too.

Our house-made plant-based matcha pudding is torched on top like a crème brûlée, then finished with our house-made anko (sweet bean paste) and chewy shiratama (mochi).

One of our signature items, COFU Cake, is 'Imagawayaki' — Japanese traditional pancake.
Its everything — from the dough to the filling — is handcrafted in-house and made from 100% plant-based ingredients.
When freshly made, the cake offers a mochi-like chew and a fluffy texture.
And it's our original cake, uniquely stamped with the 古風 (COFU) logo.
We make it at the counter, so you may find a fresh one to enjoy.
