☕ A little update from us!

First of all, thank you for making this such a fun season so far. Your support has kept us busy from open to close, and we're so grateful.

To help keep things sustainable for our small team, we'll be adjusting our summer hours. Effective immediately, we'll be open:

Monday–Saturday: 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Sunday: 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM

This change gives us the time we need to keep the shelves stocked, the baking fresh and the quality you've come to expect.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We can't wait to share a few other new things we've been cooking up, so stay tuned! 🍹

☕ We'll miss you for a couple of days!

The cafe will be closed July 6th and 7th while our team gets together for training, a staff meeting, and a little behind-the-scenes TLC.

Living in a small community like Sointula means we're incredibly lucky to know so many of you by name. Your support, kind words, and daily visits mean the world to us, and we're taking these two days to invest in our team and our café so we can continue serving our community the best we can.

Thank you for your patience. We can't wait to see you when our doors reopen - refreshed, recharged, and ready to welcome you back! ❤️

For years, Keegan and Radka have poured their hearts into feeding and caring for our community. Through busy summers, quiet winters, celebrations, everyday moments, and even a pandemic, they've always made sure there was a place at the table for everyone.

As they begin an exciting new chapter, we'd love to return the favour.

Please join us June 30 from 2:30–4:30 p.m. for a community potluck celebrating their dedication, generosity, and all they've meant to this little corner of the world. Bring a favourite dish to share and help us send them off with a table as full as the ones they've so often prepared for others.

Please note: The Coho Joe Cafe kitchen will close at 1:30 p.m. to prepare for the celebration. Take-away drinks and baked goods (while supplies last) will still be available for purchase.

We've been lucky to put together a fantastic summer crew at Coho Joe Café this year!

Our team includes a mix of familiar faces and new ones who are just getting to know this little corner of the coast. We're excited to welcome them all and can't wait for you to meet them.

As we head into a busy summer, we're looking forward to supporting the community, creating a welcoming gathering place and serving up plenty of good coffee, good food and good fun along the way.

10 years ago, Matt and Ian opened the doors to Coho Joe Cafe and created something special for this little community.

About 8 years ago, we stepped in to manage the café and pursue our dream of serving real food, real coffee, real people, and real good times. What started as a job quickly became our passion, our lifestyle, and such a huge part of our lives.

Over the years we’ve shared thousands of coffees, breakfasts, lunches, conversations, laughs, busy summer rushes, and slow rainy afternoons with all of you. We’ve watched kids grow up, welcomed travelers from around the world, and built friendships we’ll never forget.

Running a small café isn’t always easy, but the support from this community has meant absolutely everything to us. Truly — thank you for supporting local, supporting our vision, and supporting us through all the years. ❤️

To celebrate 10 amazing years of Coho Joe Cafe, we’ll have FREE cake starting at 10am while supplies last 🎂 plus free coffee and tea available all day!

Come stop by, grab a coffee, have some cake, and celebrate with us.
