That’s a Wrap on Our First Season!

As we close Pemba’s Coastal Kitchen for the season, we want to send a heartfelt thank you to our North Island communities. ❤️
Starting a new business in a new area without knowing the right people certainly had its challenges—and with a 40-foot food truck, even finding the right place to park was an adventure!
We want to share a special thank you to:
Mayor James Furney for trusting us and giving us such a beautiful place to park this summer.
The wonderful receptionist at the Port Hardy District Office, who went above and beyond to help us find space for our big rig.
Gabi Wickstrom, for helping make a space possible for us in Port McNeill—we could not have had the truck in Port McNeill without your support!
From June through September, every meal you ordered, every friendly chat, and every word of encouragement helped us find our footing. You made our first season one we’ll never forget.

We are now closed for the season. Wishing you all a a safe and wonderful fall & winter, and thank you for welcoming us.

WE’RE OPEN DURING TOMORROW’S POWER OUTAGE!

Pemba’s Coastal Kitchen will be open all day tomorrow to serve you!
Location: 2651 Mine Road opposite Petro Canada
Orders: Walk-ups only — please come directly to the truck to place your order.
Phone Lines: Unattended during the outage.
Service will be first-come, first-served. Thank you so much for your understanding and continued support — we look forward to feeding you tomorrow!

GOOD MORNING, NORTH ISLAND!

We’ve made a small change at Pemba’s Coastal Kitchen!

To help keep our kitchen crew warm and protected from those cold autumn road drafts, we’ve turned the truck around! We’re still in the same location at 2651 Mine Road, Port McNeill — the back of the truck is now facing the road.

Don’t worry — WE ARE OPEN and cooking up all your favourites!

FALL OPERATING HOURS
Tuesday – Saturday: OPEN
Sunday & Monday: CLOSED

We plan to stay open throughout the fall for as long as the weather allows and as long as our wonderful community continues to support us. If the weather becomes too rough later in the season, we may need to close for the winter — but we’ll keep everyone updated right here.

To the people of Port McNeill and the entire North Island, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your incredible ongoing support. Your kindness, encouragement, and continued support mean so much to us and help keep our kitchen going. We warmly invite you to stop by, enjoy some comforting food, and say hello!

FALL HOURS AT PEMBA’S COASTAL KITCHEN

We’re back and open starting today!
Tuesdays through Saturdays
Lunch: 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM
Dinner: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
These will be our hours for the fall season.
We’ll also be at our same location 2651 Mine Road here in Port Mc Neill this Sunday during the scheduled power outage, ready to serve you.

We’re excited to take Coastal Kitchen out for another North Island adventure and serve everyone at the festival.

Tomorrow Thursday – Saturday (Sept 10–12): Serving up fresh food on-site at the Imagine One Love music festival (Benson Mine, Port McNeill)!
Sunday (Sept 13): Back home at 2651 Mine Road from 11:30-8:00 pm
