🐟❤️ There’s something about Salmon Day weekend in Sointula…

Sointula Salmon Day may officially be Saturday, but you can already feel it…the town is buzzing!

People are coming home, old friends are reconnecting, visitors are arriving and there are familiar faces everywhere. It’s one of those weekends that reminds you just how special this little island community is.

Saturday is packed! Parade at 11, activities at the ball park, live entertainment, vendors, salmon dinner and so much more.

And when the daytime festivities wrap up, it’s time to DANCE! 💃🕺

🍔 BURGER BARN UPDATE 🍔

Wow — you folks kept us BUSY this weekend! ❤️

Because of that, we’re running a limited menu today and won’t be open for dinner. Sorry for the short notice!

BUT… good news for the calamari fans! 🦑 I managed to get my hands on some Greek yogurt and cucumbers 🥒 today, so I’ll be whipping up a fresh batch of tzatziki and CALAMARI WILL BE ON THE MENU THIS AFTERNOON! 🙌

A huge thank-you to Billie & Lelani at the Co-op for helping us out with the cucumbers and yogurt even though they’re closed today. That was incredibly kind and very much appreciated. 🤗❤️

Come see us this afternoon while supplies last — because apparently you’re all trying to eat us out of house and home. 😂🍔

Sunday Morning Burger Barn Update 🍔⚡️

Ian is out on the boat…siphoning gas to keep the generator going 😆 We are assessing the power situation this morning.

We’re not sure yet if or when we’ll be able to open today, but we’ll post an update as soon as we know more.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out ❤️ We really appreciated your patience and good humour while we did our best to keep up!

A HUGE shoutout to Ian, Ava, Mya and Mackenzie for sticking it out and just keeping those orders moving. You guys were absolute rockstars tonight. ❤️

Another big thank you to Sam and Alden for getting us up and running with Risto’s generator in the first place. Without you, there wouldn’t have been a Burger Barn tonight!

Generator humming, fryers frying, burgers flying… somehow we did it! 😂🍔🍟⚡️

No power? No problem. 😂⚡️🍔

Thanks to Sam and Alden, we’ve got a generator running and the Burger Barn crew is still slinging burgers!
