For over 60 years, The Crest Hotel has been a premier destination offering comfort and hospitality in Northern BC. Overlooking the magnificent Prince Rupert Harbour, our location offers picturesque views of the Pacific Ocean and the Coast Mountain range. Whales can be spotted swimming throughout the year while eagles soar overhead and deer stroll about the property. The Crest Hotel invites guests to embrace northern experiences in comfort. Located on the traditional territory of Sm’algyax speaking Peoples, the area is rich with history and culture. Our Prince Rupert hotel offers a variety of guest amenities with something to please every traveller. For guests who consider great cuisine a highlight of their trip, we invite you to visit our Waterfront Restaurant or our award-winning lounge. Indulge in unparalleled ocean views while enjoying our outdoor hot tub, or recharge in our exercise area and steam room. At The Crest Hotel, our amenities and view provide an exceptional experience for every guest. The Gitxaała Nation, through Gitxaała Enterprises, are proud to be the owners of The Crest Hotel. With The Crest Hotel situated in Lax Kxeen (Prince Rupert) Harbour, one of the traditional places of the Gitxaała people, we are proud to be the owners of such a beautiful establishment.

“Gitxaała Nation is also known as Git Lax M’oon, People of Saltwater. Our connection to the land water and its resources is very important to us and we want to make sure that the resources we harvest and rely on are available for generations to come. So much of our history is in the areas seen looking out the windows of The Crest Hotel- we want to be able to share the beauty and experience with all who visit.”
– Lou Ga Gwelks – Elected Chief Linda Innes, Gitxaała Nation

Today, September 30th, we recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day.

Today is a time to remember the children who never came home, honour Survivors, their families and communities, and acknowledge the devastating history and ongoing impacts of residential schools.

As a First Nations-owned business through Gitxaała Enterprises, the Crest Hotel recognizes the importance of taking time to reflect, listen and learn. We encourage our community to continue learning about the history of residential schools, listening to Indigenous voices and engaging in meaningful conversations about truth and reconciliation.

The artwork shared here is by Gitxaała artist Annabelle Hill , designed for the Gitxaała Enterprises Orange Shirts. 🧡

The Pilot Project is pouring at the Crest!

We’re working with Sherwood Mountain Brewhouse to create a signature Crest Hotel l***r, and we want you to be part of the process.

Over the course of The Pilot Project, we’ll be featuring rotating b**r options for you to try. With each pour, fill out a comment card and let us know what you think. Your feedback will help us decide which b**r becomes our signature l***r and help us choose its name.

Taste it. Rate it. Help us create it.

And as a thank you for taking part, completed comment cards will be entered into a draw to win:

A complimentary one-night stay in our Deluxe Treat Suite and a $200 dining voucher

Come by, try what’s on tap, and help us create the future Crest Hotel l***r.

Brewed in collaboration with Sherwood Mountain Brewhouse.
