"Calling all artists!

As part of our "Paint the Town" initiative this summer, we're excited to announce two more Mural opportunities in Prince Rupert! We have two open "Call for Artist" opportunities, offering paid mural opportunities on two buildings in Prince Rupert's downtown!

(1) NISGA'A HALL - 860 3rd Avenue West - In partnership with the Gitmaxmak'ay Nisga'a Society, we are seeking artist proposals from registered or affiliated Nisga’a members to complete a mural on the exterior of the Nisga’a Hall on 3rd Avenue in Prince Rupert.

(2) LAX KW'ALAAMS BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICE - 100 1st Avenue East - In partnership with Lax Kw’alaams Business Development LP, we are also seeking artist proposals from Lax Kw’alaams community members, or artists who have Lax Kw’alaams heritage, to complete a mural on the exterior of the Lax Kw’alaams Business Development Office.

If you've walked passed the Nisga'a Hall, you've recently noticed something new: a 3D sign!

The Prince Rupert Economic Development Office chose the Gitmaxmak'ay Society / Nisga'a Hall for the Business Facade Improvement Program (with funding from the Northern Development Initiative Trust [NDIT]).

Many thanks to the amazing work of Rapid Gantry Custom Signs (Jason Hakki) !

Can't wait to see the finished product with the Rainbow 🌈🌈🌈 added on.
