October 17th is a deeply meaningful day for me.🎉
From Charmsushi in 2016 to Dive in Charm today, I am officially celebrating my 10th anniversary! 🥂✨
Looking back 10 years ago, moving to Picton was a huge leap of faith. I had never been here before, didn’t know a single soul, and was moving all the way from another province. It truly was an adventure!
Yet, I still vividly remember the moment I first drove down Main Street. It was small, peaceful, and so beautiful that all my worries melted away. I thought to myself, "Yes, this is it!" 💕
I will also never forget my very first customer on opening day 10 years ago, nor the wonderful neighbors who walked in holding flowers to welcome me to the community. 💐
The little kids who loved my sushi—and loved playing with Jennie!—have grown up into teenagers and young adults. And among all the incredible connections made over the years, there are also dear friends and loyal regulars with whom I’ve had to say tearful goodbyes.
I navigated the tough times of the pandemic with all of you, and after enduring mountains of paperwork for zoning changes and permits, I took another big leap forward to get to where I am today.
Prince Edward County (PEC) has changed a lot over the last decade, but it remains as beautiful as ever, and I am so proud to call this place home. Above all, I owe my deepest gratitude to everyone in this amazing community. Being able to be a part of Picton for the past 10 years is all thanks to you—it was only possible because of your support.
Though I still have so much to learn and room to grow, to everyone who kindly offered their advice and stood by me with unwavering trust and encouragement... I extend my deepest, most heartfelt gratitude. ❤️❤️❤️
