WOW what a saga. Long story short, we are OPEN tomorrow Saturday, Feb. 7 and back to our regular operating hours (7a to 3p daily) 🎉🎉🎉
On Sunday, an Elizabeth Street water main broke and started to flood our basement overnight (and every basement/crawlspace at 172 Main Street). By Monday there was over 3 feet of water.
The Country found the leak and repaired the damage Tuesday night. By Wednesday, all the water was pumped out and we were able to safely enter the basement.
The furnace and hot water heater were ☠️—not to mention multiple freezers, appliances, equipment, and packaging. Also, the flood washed in a mountain of sand somehow?? And we couldn't replace the furnace or hot water until it was removed.
Enough sand was cleared by Thursday for to replace the hot water heater and .belleville to replace the furnace. The last of the sand was removed today (by way of massive hose coming up through our floor and out the front door).
TL;DR This has been a crazy week and I'm so happy that we're able to reopen for the weekend!!
