A year ago, we opened The Liminal Place Cafe with a vision of creating a space where people could slow down, connect, and enjoy great coffee together.
As we celebrate our first anniversary, we’ve spent some time reflecting on what we’ve learned.
We’re still learning every day. From figuring out how much food to prep each morning to continually improving our systems, the journey of running a coffee shop has been full of surprises.
But through all of it, three things have remained at the heart of who we are:
☕ A deep passion for specialty coffee and sharing that experience with others.
❤️ Gratitude for our incredible staff, whose dedication has helped make this dream possible.
🤝 A growing passion for serving people and creating spaces where meaningful connections can happen.
That last one is what makes us so excited about our next chapter.
We’re thrilled to be joining the Blue Building Project in downtown Grande Prairie, a collaborative community space that will bring together local food, drinks, artisans, makers, and gathering spaces under one roof.
We believe this project perfectly aligns with our vision of being an “in-between space” where people can connect, create, and build community.
A few important updates:
📍 We are still open at our West Side Drive location.
📅 June 20 is currently planned to be our final day in the building.
🚧 Construction is underway at the Blue Building Project.
☕ We’re hoping to begin soft openings at the new location during the last week of June.
