📣✨🥢 After a long and hard decision, we are beyond devastated and sad to announce that we will be closing our doors after 52 fabulous years on April 30, 2022.

As this was a tremendously difficult decision, we would love to say a huge thank you to all of our patrons and loyal customers who have been apart of our journey. Without you, our dream and passion wouldn’t have come alive and we are beyond blessed to have made so many memories in the community of Grande Prairie! We are sorry for any inconveniences that this may cause but from the bottom of our hearts, we truly cannot thank the city of Grande Prairie and surrounding Peace Country community for supporting us for 52 fantastic years! 🥂✨🥢

Throwback Thursday 🌟✨

In the Spring of 1969, the Golden Star Restaurant had opened in the heart of Grande Prairie and has been operating ever since. Although, the building never always looked like what it does today as it looked like the sketched photo at one time.

Hello everyone and welcome to our page ! Wishing everyone a very Happy Chinese New Year filled full of good luck, happiness, good health and prosperity 🐯🎋🧧

Also, rumour does NOT have it! We are not closed nor are closing our doors as rumour had it we were closing on January 1, 2022. So be sure to continue to come see us for your food fix—we would love to see you!

We would like to kick off day 5 of the new year with a photo contest giveaway open until February 27 at 11:59PM. The instructions are easy:

1) Order take-out or dine in at the Golden Star.

2) Post a photo of you enjoying the food with chopsticks. Be creative !

3) Be sure to tag us in it on Facebook or Instagram. Wherever platform you decide to enter on.

4) Our team will vote on a monthly winner for the best photo.

5) The winner will receive a dinner for 2 or a $50 value valid for dine-in or take-out.

6) Good luck ! Contest closes February 27, 2022 with the winner being announced February 28, 2022.
