30 students, one wonderful lunch and a whole lot of smiles! 🍕🍝❤️

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming a fantastic group of 30 students and their teacher to Café Corretto for a special lunch on Lygon Street, Carlton!

From freshly made garlic bread and crispy chips to delicious pasta and pizzas, the tables were full, the atmosphere was buzzing, and the smiles said it all! 🥰

Our team loved looking after everyone and making sure they felt welcome from the moment they arrived until that lovely goodbye! 👋❤️

Today, 1 October, we celebrate much more than a drink. We celebrate centuries of history, culture, community and all the people who make every cup of coffee possible.

Coffee’s story has roots in Ethiopia and developed through Yemen and the Middle East, before spreading across Europe and eventually becoming one of the world’s most loved and traded drinks.

And here in Melbourne, coffee has a very special story.

After World War II, Italian and other European migrants helped shape Melbourne’s espresso culture, bringing with them the tradition of meeting over coffee, sharing conversations and making cafés an important part of everyday life. 🇮🇹☕
