Another catering event last night serving chicken snitzels, cubed brisket, stuffed chicken or stuffed capsicum mains. Oh and nuggies and chips for the kids. Our team served 214 meals in 33 minutes flat!

You may have seen some new picture frames on the walls of the General Store 🖼

We will soon share the story of the General Store all the way back to when it first started, in 1885.

Upper Beaconsfield was a new logging and farming driven settlement, commencing after an initial gold rush in nearby Haunted Gully 👻 The General Store was established to start supplying the community in the surrounding hills and foothills.

It's an amazing story of entrepreneurialship, resilience and creativity. We look forward to bringing it to life in Store over the coming weeks.

The Upper Beaconsfield General Store is looking for someone who loves baking and enjoys being part of a busy, friendly hospitality team.

This could suit a newly qualified baker, pastry cook, chef with strong baking skills or café all-rounder who wants to help continuing to build out our fledging bakery business. We bake in house and supply 3, soon to be 4 locations.

Baking is the main focus, but flexibility, teamwork and a great attitude are just as important. You’ll work with smaller kitchens, varied equipment and a range of products, with opportunities across Upper Beaconsfield, Emerald and Gembrook.

Flexible full-time or part-time hours available.

Bonnie has been a huge part of our journey over the past five years and has played a major role in helping us grow the business. From helping us launch Over the Road in Upper Beac, then Emerald, and now Gembrook, Bonnie has been there helping turn restaurant and cafe ideas into reality and keeping things moving behind the scenes and on the ground.

Five years is a fantastic milestone, especially in hospitality, and we are very grateful for everything Bonnie has done for us over that time. It's a long time since she first rode through Drive thru on her horse 🐎
