Tomorrow is Father's Day.
We might be celebrating our birthday today but behind the scenes we're also getting ready for a big day of celebrating dads and father figures. So here are our Father's Day Meat-pocalypse specials:
1) Beef ribs & wings. 2 Beef short ribs, 3 chicken wings, potato with Reckless gravy, corn cob, served with gremolata.
2) Chicken and Chorizo. 1/2 roast chicken, 2 chorizo, white beans with Reckless gravy, whole roast carrot, served with gremolata.

Join us this Friday and Saturday to celebrate 4 years of Reckless in Bathurst.
On Friday night we have DJ Shey BX spinning up the tunes Reckless style from 7-10pm.
On Saturday we're having a family afternoon with face painting and yard games from 12, then from 3-6pm come party with the Reckless crew. And cake.

With many of our kids celebrating Book Week this week, we decided that we should get involved too. So we asked our brewers to bring in their favourite brewing related book/s.

Jeff brought in his vintage copy of The Complete Joy of Home Brewing by Charlie Papazian. The OG, the foundational text of the craft brewing revolution. This edition is largely outdated now but as an historical artefact it is invaluable and Reckless stands in direct lineage of the craft brewing movement this book and its author spawned.

Anne-Marie had a hard time choosing and went for the full set of Brewing Elements Series. Four books that go into granular detail on everything that goes into brewing. Dense, technical, indispensable.

Stephen chose something at the other end of the spectrum: How to Brew. A more approachable book for those looking to learn the craft it was foundational to Stephen’s ed-brew-cation and still his recommendation for those looking to learn. It is both theoretical and practical, much like our brewers.
