The 804 Trail has been restored! Two worn sections now have better drainage, steadier footing and improved access.

This restoration was a true community effort, made possible by Yachats Trails volunteers, Oregon State Parks and Fireside Motel guests, who have been donating to help support the 804 Trail since 2020. Come walk it and see the improvements for yourself.

After a long afternoon of exploring the tide pools and chasing the ocean breeze along the 804 Trail, settle down to s'mores on the beach.

Wrap yourself in a warm blanket, leash up your dog and join us for s'mores every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6:45 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. at the Fire Circle just north of Overleaf Lodge & Spa.

When we say we love dogs here at The Fireside Motel, we really mean it. Your dog is treated like a main guest, not an afterthought.

We designed our ground-floor rooms, like the Storm Petrel and Bald Eagle, with durable, easy-to-clean floors and direct outside access. It makes those groggy, early-morning bathroom breaks completely stress-free. Best of all, the 804 Trail is right at our doorstep. You don't have to load a sandy, excited dog into the car just to go for a walk. You simply step outside onto the flat path and let them sniff the ocean breeze while the waves crash into the rocks below.

Yachats is a special spot for pups, whether they're exploring the soft-sand pocket beaches at Smelt Sands or hiking up into the cool, mossy trails at Cape Perpetua.
