Yesterday was one of those days that reminded us just how crazy the end of summer can be. 🥴😵💫😑
Vacations. Back to school. End-of-summer parties and events packed into every last weekend. It was messy, it was nonstop, and then you blink and it’s over.
Yesterday alone, our team fed 375+ people OUTSIDE of our restaurants, while also keeping our restaurants going and we did it very short staffed.
Was everything perfect? No. Absolutely not. Do we promise you we will do everything we can to make it as perfect as possible, yes.
Small businesses, especially the food business have some extremely challenging days. While we were busy offsite serving, our stores were actually DOWN 30% vs same time last year, and down 35% vs same week in July. This is the business. All that hard work offsite, completely wiped out by the stores being down. It’s a crazy environment for us all…
We are continuously evolving, but also doing our best to adapt while not losing sight of who we are. Corporate parties, backyard boils, weddings, anniversary and retirement parties… all have become part of our everyday business now, and we cannot be more grateful for trusting us.
