We’re going to be a little vulnerable for a minute. 🤍

7 Brew is opening, and if we’re being honest… it scares us a little.

Not because we’re afraid of competition. Competition is part of owning a business.

But there’s a difference between competing with another local coffee shop and competing with a large corporation with the resources to give away thousands of coffees, run “pay what you want” promotions, flood social media with advertising, and spend aggressively to capture customers during their launch.

We simply don’t have that kind of money behind us.

We’re a small, locally owned business. There isn’t a corporate office sending us a giant marketing budget. There isn’t an investor covering the cost of giving away drinks. When you buy a coffee at The Savvy Bean, you’re supporting real people who live here, work here, and have spent years building this business right here in the Cedar Valley.

And we knew this was coming.

We knew the first few weeks would be hard. We knew the hype would be BIG. We knew local shops would feel the impact.

But knowing it is coming doesn’t make it any easier to watch.

We’re not asking you to avoid 7 Brew. Go try it. Get the free coffee. Check out the new place. We genuinely understand the curiosity. ❤️
But when the hype dies down, remember your local coffee shops.

Remember the businesses that don’t have millions of dollars behind them.

Remember the people who know your name.
The people who remember your order.
The people who employ your neighbors.
The people who sponsor your community events.
The people who reinvest their money locally.
The people who took a huge risk to build something of their own.

That’s us. That’s The Savvy Bean & it’s all your other small town shops in the CV.

We don’t need to be the biggest.

We just want to be here for a long, long time.

So go enjoy what’s new. ❤️

☘️ WHAT. A. WEEKEND. ☕💚

Since Irish Fest kicked off Friday, we have poured over 180 GALLONS of coffee, refreshers, lemonades, and all your Savvy Bean favorites. 🤯

180 gallons poured by our incredible team. Hundreds of smiles shared. Countless conversations had. One unforgettable weekend.

Our espresso machine is probably wondering what it did to deserve this, our blender is asking for a vacation, and our team may never look at another cup the same way again. 😂

But seriously… WOW. ❤️

To every single person who stopped by, waited patiently, grabbed a drink, brought a friend, or chose to support our little shop this weekend, thank you. You kept us moving, laughing, and pouring nonstop.

Our team absolutely crushed one of the busiest weekends we’ve ever had, and we couldn’t be more proud of them. They showed up, worked hard, and gave every customer the Savvy Bean experience we strive for. ☕✨

We’ll be CLOSED tomorrow (Monday) for a deep clean, restocking, maintenance, and a well-deserved recovery day.

We’ll be back Tuesday morning refreshed, recharged, and ready to do it all again. ☕💚

Thank you for making this Iowa Irish Fest weekend one for the books. We are so grateful.☘️

☘️ IOWA IRISH FEST IS ALMOST HERE! ☘️

One of our favorite weekends of the year is finally here, and we can’t wait to celebrate with all of you! 💚

🚧 A quick heads-up: Due to road closures for Irish Fest, Mommy & Me on Thursday is canceled this week. We’ll miss seeing everyone but will be back next Thursday as usual!

🍹 And… if you’ve been waiting for them… Our Five Farms Boozy Buckets are making a comeback! 👀 They’ll be back this weekend along with our boozy regular and Irish coffees starting Friday afternoon. Trust us—you won’t want to miss them!
