November 8th marks 7 years since I cut my ribbon to my commercial beginning. We will be celebrating when that day hits. Always a warm feeling around this time of the year. Thinking back to what I have accomplished and so much more I wanna do. My kids were so young. Now many gone and moved away. I cried this day . I cried hard. I never thought I could do this or to have the ability. 7 years of running The Sugar Shack. So much more then sugar;) Looking into a bright future and serving our community. Thank you all for following my journey.❤️

Tonight we made it into Grandmas for dinner. It was a sweet feeling sitting in the break booth;) Grandmas was one of my first jobs. I loved that job. Met so many great waitresses that I admired . Great cooks that I was amazed by. Many still there. I won’t forget that place . Maybe that was my sign to open a restaurant. We had a great last dinner and our waitress was great. I admire their hard work and great food. Crazy to think I’m in this restaurant category. Staff came to chat with us tonight and we wished them the best in their future. Will never forget this gem of a business along with all the staff. My husband Greg also proposed to me there in the way back left booth. I said wtf are you doing on the ground?! Ha!!! Virginia is loosing a gem. Get your last dinner while you can. This type of business had a story of its own. Hard working and so much more. Serving the community we all love. Wishing them all the best for their future. ❤️
