As we head into one of the most beautiful times of the year in northern Minnesota, we just want to say THANK YOU.
This summer wasn’t quite what we expected. Between the wildfires, changing travel patterns, and everything else, our business was down about 18% compared with last summer.
But here’s what we keep coming back to:
We are incredibly grateful.
Grateful for every person who walked through our doors. Every local who stopped in for coffee or breakfast. Every visitor who discovered us while exploring the area. Every person who shared a post, recommended us to a friend, brought in family, or simply offered a kind word of encouragement.
The Tower Cafe has been part of this community since 1950, and we’re pretty proud to keep that tradition going.
We’ve watched restaurants and small businesses, both locally and across the country, announce difficult closures recently. It’s a reminder that keeping the doors open on a small business is never something to take for granted.
And right now, we’re especially thankful because fall has been absolutely wonderful.
The colors have exploded over the past few days, and they are about as spectacular as they get. If you’ve been thinking about taking a drive to the Iron Range, Lake Vermilion or Tower Minnesota this is a pretty amazing time to do it.
At the end of the day, though, the Tower Cafe for our 3 generational family and crew has never been just about food...
It’s about community and connection.
It’s neighbors catching up over coffee. Travelers becoming friends. Families gathering around a table. Our crew knowing your name and, sometimes, your order before you even sit down.
That’s the part of this little cafe we treasure most.
So from our family and our amazing crew: thank you for continuing to support this little piece of Tower history.
We’re grateful to still be here.
And we’re pretty darn excited about what’s ahead.
