⚓🇺🇸 From Galveston to New York Harbor... what an incredible journey!

Leading the New York Tall Ships Parade is the legendary Elissa from Galveston, Texas, sailing proudly past the Statue of Liberty.

What makes this even more remarkable is that Elissa isn't a replica. She was built in Aberdeen, Scotland, launched on October 27, 1877, and spent decades carrying cargo around the world before eventually being abandoned in a scrapyard in Greece.

By the 1970s, her future looked uncertain.

Thanks to the vision and dedication of the Galveston Historical Foundation and countless volunteers, Elissa was rescued, painstakingly restored, and returned to the sea. Today, she is one of the world's oldest actively sailing merchant sailing ships—a living reminder of our rich maritime heritage.

Seeing a Texas icon sail past one of America's most recognizable landmarks is something every Texan can be proud of.

To celebrate Elissa's amazing adventure, Craft Grill is offering:
