September 11, 2001. We Remember. 🇺🇸
9/11 is not just a date in history.
It belongs to the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the families who never got to say goodbye, the first responders who ran toward danger, the military members who answered the call, and a nation that came together in the days that followed.
I served 20 years in the United States Air Force, and 9/11 became part of my own journey. I would later be in charge of the Pentagon Air Force Clinic immediately following 9/11, and then transfer to Andrews AFB, DET 1 Aeromedical Operations.
There are things from that time I will never forget. But today isn’t about telling my story alone.
Today is about remembering theirs.
The lives lost.
The heroes who responded.
The families who still carry the loss.
And the men and women who served our country in the years that followed.
Twenty-five years later, may we still remember not only what happened that morning, but how Americans stood beside one another afterward.
We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸
