Remember curbside pickup?
There are several parts of that season we’d rather forget. There were days when it felt impossible. There were also days when complete strangers reminded us why we started in the first place.

The lawn became our dining room, takeout became our specialty and a small group of employees showed up every day. Guests ordered takeout when they didn’t have to. Guests gave donations to our furloughed staff. Friends & family checked in. Our community refused to let us fail. Looking back, we’re still amazed by the support we received during that time. GRIT survived because of people.

When people talk about GRIT, they usually talk about the food, but it’s always been the people behind the scenes who make this place special.

Together we’ve served thousands of meals, survived more football weekends than we can count, and solved at least a few minor emergencies held together with duct tape and sheer determination.

We’re grateful for every long shift, every laugh, every challenge, and every person who helped build GRIT along the way.

A good meal tastes better. Conversations last longer. Strangers become friends.

For our 10-year celebration, we’ve invited some incredible musicians to help us mark the occasion, including Kelley & Jesse Pinion, KC and the Moonshine Band featuring Casey Lipe, Mark Yacovone, Ricky Burkhead, John Allouise, and Bradley Gordon, plus Keith “The Prince of the Delta Blues” Johnson.

Ten years ago we opened the doors to GRIT and hoped to create something special. Over the years we’ve celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, family dinners, late-night conversations, and so many moments that mattered.
Some of you have been with us since the beginning. Some found us along the way. All of you became part of the story.
