🔎We are searching for full-time and part-time Customer Service Team members here at the Swarthmore CO-OP!

🛒A Customer Service Team Member’s priority is precisely that: customer service. As a Cashier and Customer Service Team Member, you’ll be handling customer purchases, providing information about membership and events, and creating a friendly, local feel for our valued shoppers!

What we need from you:
🍋Maintaining a sense of energy in the store by taking initiative to do what’s needed
🍅Greeting customers in a welcoming way and perform checkout activities for purchases quickly and accurately
🍉Maintaining a clean and well-kept environment
🥑Accurate handling of cash and credit transactions
🥗Ability to successfully complete specialized compliance training for b**r and w**e retail transactions

🥪Have you mastered the art of sandwich-making?

We are looking for new Deli Team Members! As a team-member, you'll be tasked with preparing signature CO-OP sandwiches and prepared dishes for our customers at our award-winning community food market!

What we need from you:
🥪An interest in high-quality food preparation
🥗15-25 hours of availability for part-time or 40 hours for full time per week
📅Some weekend and evening (4PM-8PM) availability each week
🍝Restaurant or other retail food experience, deli sandwich experience strongly preferred
😃Comfort interacting with customers and teammates
🔪Ability to meet physical requirements for the role, including standing for up to 4 hours, bending, turning, squatting, using kitchen equipment, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
👍A can-do attitude
🧑‍🍳And someone at least 18 years of age (21+ preferred)

Pay rates for Deli Team Members start at $15 per hour, with higher rates potentially available for candidates with 12–18 months of directly applicable food preparation experience from a credible food or hospitality establishment and who are at least 21 years old.

🍫We’re delighted to announce a new addition to the CO-OP product line, Beyond Good chocolate. What's so good about it? A rare chocolate brand that fits closely with our values regarding sustainability, ethical business practices, and equity in the supply chain.

🌞Beyond Good works to cut out the maze of middlemen in cacao distribution, putting chocolate farmers at the forefront of production and keeping the chocolate production in the country of origin.

🌍After opening a factory in Madagascar through partnerships with local stakeholders, developing direct relationships led to improving quality of life for people as the company was able to offer better payment, incentives, and education opportunities. Beyond Good has received recognition for their incredible work in the sphere of sustainability including human rights, transparency, living income, child labor, climate change, and deforestation.
