🎣📢🗣️Rustic Reel Update 🎣📢🗣️
Well y’all, we’re down to the final two check marks!! 🙌🏼
All we’re waiting on is the Health Department’s final sign-off and for the ABC Commission to issue our permit. Once those two things happen, we’re ready to get those fryers fried up, grills turned on and beer on ice! 🍻🌊🍤🎣
In the meantime, we’ve been doing everything we can to make sure Rustic Reel is ready. We’ve added our co****le / game area. Connect 4, another dock, spent too many days figuring out parking lot flow and bumpers (that might’ve consisted of a few little disagreements and may still be an issue 🤣🤣🫠🙃) working on final menu edits, working through the POS system, meeting with kitchen staff and vendors, made trips to Raleigh, passed what feels like 47 inspections, 92 meetings and 14,000 decisions. 😅🫠
At this point, there’s not much left for us to do except keep preparing, keep praying, and keep answering the question, “When are y’all opening?” 😂
We’re aiming for a SOFT OPENING this week, but whether that happens depends entirely on those last two approvals. 🤞🏼🙏🏼
And before anyone asks… no, we’re not releasing the menu yet. We’ve worked hard on it, and we want to unveil it when we announce the soft opening. I promise it will be worth the wait! We’re checking off all the boxes! Gluten free, vegan, chicken, beef, seafood, fried, broiled etc.
Also, a special thank you to our wonderful neighbors for the Rustic Reel flag they surprised us with as an opening gift. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and Troy absolutely loves his flags, so it couldn’t have been more perfect! 🇺🇸🎣
Thank y’all for sticking with us through this process. We know you’re excited, and believe us, NOBODY is more ready to open these doors than we are! 🙃 This has been a long 3 month process, something we never anticipated to take so long. But we knew we’d have a lot of hard long days bringing this vision to life. Our goal is to make Rustic Reel not just what we think Sunset Beach needs, but the place we believe the county, the locals, first responders and even the tourists want!
We’re so close we can taste the fried shrimp, oysters and cold beer. Now we’re just waiting on paperwork. 🍤🦪🍻🙏
