EVENT RECAP 🌙🌾

Dirt to Dinner at Bernard Farms was SO. MUCH. FUN. What a perfect way to kick off the fall season. Pumpkin and squash bisque in little acorn squash bowls, y’all. The most delicious hors d’oeuvres: deviled eggs with Bernard chorizo, polenta bites with hot honey Bernard pork belly, comfort veggies, and smoked & grilled pork chops from Bernard (we have received SO many compliments on these chops, y’all and there is a reason. The smoke flavor is unmatched). A c***r bar, a real bar, and s’mores.

Y’all see a trend here? You do NOT have to leave the county to get incredible pork for any dish you make. We LOVE Bernard Farms and we LOVE how much love Julie (and her whole fam) put into their dinners each year.

If you haven’t been to Bernard Farms, RUN there and check them out. Fresh and frozen pork, where the source is zero percent questionable. You wanna get Julie fired up? Talk to her about what these pigs eat compared to what NON-Bernard pigs eat. They raise their meat with integrity, love, and care from the very start. Here is their info:

The coolest thing about this dinner is that these wonderful farmers put so much back into the community while hosting this incredible evening. Flowers by ERHS ag department (Maroon Blooms). All alcohol sales were donated to benefit Willow Oak Arts Center (freaking $1300 y’all!?!?!). Local tunes, local catering, even local spoons made by 2DLASERWORKS!

Anyway, we’ll stop blabbing now and let you scroll the most beautiful pics we had to steal (thanks Kathy Cook Wiggins, Lisa DiVirgilio, SJ Flick for the high quality photos) because we took maybe TWO all night. Cheers!

Six delicious courses, six perfect pairings, a hardworking team, and a whole lot of wonderful guests dining by candlelight. What a fun night!
