We hear it a lot- “tHeRe’S nOtHiNg tO dO iN sPriNgfiEld” and we have the answer. Here are TEN fun things to do (and even some family fun) you can participate in to cure the summer boredom:
1. Get a ticket and go watch Making Hands, a historical musical drama about Robertson County. This weekend is the last weekend and you don’t want to sleep on this one. We even have cocktail pairings inspired by the show happening through the end of the week at Publjc House. Click here for tix on the Robertson County Players website:

2. While you’re on Main Street, check out Minions & Monsters at the Springfield Capitol Theatre while it’s still showing. They have snacks, drinks, and we hear there are some exciting shows coming to the big screen next (hellooooo, Moana and Back to the Future, how exciting?!) 🍿
3. Hit up our wonderful locally owned shops for last minute gifts, summer fun, and wardrobe sprucing at The Soap Factory - Springfield, High Score Dispensary, and Maison de Reve! 🛍️
4. Caffeinate yourself at Historic Perk and meander on down to Cedar Hill Apothecary for Tori’s famous tinctures, teas, goodies, and self-care necessities. They even have refreshing drinks and goodies! 🫖
5. Grab your out of town friends and treat them to a spritz or old fashioned at Mystic Picnic Wine & Whiskey Bar where Zach is serving magic in a glass. 🥃
6. Late night ramen & cocktails to end your Friday or Saturday at Public House from 9-MIDNIGHT! 🍜
7. Round up the kiddos and visit the Robertson County Historical Society museum on the square and learn about history, grab the best gifts from the shop, and talk to Danny, Janet, and Jackie about the coolest stuff you never knew you never knew. 🏛️
8. Check out Willow Oak Center for Arts and Learning and learn about their art classes, events for kids, and unique upcoming events you will kick yourself later for missing. 🎨
9. Get involved at the Stokes Brown Public Library and see all the cool programs and can’t miss reads for all ages! 📚
10. Take your little garden enthusiasts to the community garden at the Robertson County Family YMCA where Juliet Harris is truly growing some green thumb inspiration 🌱
Now, you can’t say there’s nothing to do. Get out there and DO IT!!! 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Cheers!
