While we’re putting the finishing touches on our own bar for the grand opening, we’ve been making it a point to eat local and support our neighbors.

Today’s stop: Munches & Manerva’s Soul Food Cafe — and OH. OUR. FRIGGIN. GOODNESS. 🤤

We tried:
🍗 Chicken wings — and if you get 10 or more, they’re only $1 each!
🔥 Jerk Chicken Rolls
🍖 The Oxtail Plate over red beans & rice with two sides (the Mac and the collard greens did NOT disappoint)

Everything tasted like it was made from scratch, with heart, soul, and somebody’s good family recipe behind it.

And the people made it even better. The Chicago-repping staff welcomed us with huge smiles, chatted with us while we waited, and made us feel right at home.

It’s literally right down the street from us, so we already know we’ll be back!

And DO NOT leave without grabbing one of their house-made drinks. 👀 Try the Ghetto Juice, Night Crawler, or whatever catches your eye because they have plenty to choose from!

If you’re in the area, go show Munches And Manervas Soul Food Cafe some love. Supporting local tastes pretty dang good.

Something good is brewing at Section 3301 Bar & Eats!

We’ve been behind the scenes tasting, planning, tweaking, and putting the final touches on a menu we’re excited to share with our future guests. And while we’re at it, our Grand Opening plans are officially coming together!

We’re building Section 3301 to be the kind of neighborhood spot where you can grab great food, catch the game, meet up with friends, and feel right at home.

Our friends at Performance Foodservice have been an amazing support and our menu will showcase delicious, quality food for everyone to enjoy!

The countdown is getting closer… and we promise, it’ll be worth the wait.

Behind the Scenes at Section 3301:

Our ownership and management team spent the day with Performance Foodservice, tasting ingredients for our core menu — and we can't wait to bring it to you! (Yes, the menu reveal is coming.)

We also got a tour of their warehouse, and wow — state-of-the-art doesn't even cover it. Clean, efficient, and organized down to the last detail. You could eat off those floors.

From the warehouse crew to the sales team to the chefs, everyone welcomed us like family and shared the story behind the products — where they come from and the passion the partner companies pour into them.

We left full, inspired, and more excited than ever to build a menu worthy of our future guests.

Our leadership team brings more than 30 years of combined experience in bars, restaurants, hospitality, entertainment, stadiums, arenas, and sporting events. Throughout our careers, we've helped create memorable experiences for guests everywhere from neighborhood establishments to major venues. We wanted to bring that same energy, exceptional service, and sense of community to one place.

To everyone who has walked through these doors —

Before we say anything about what's next, we have to say thank you.

To the previous owners: thank you for the blood, sweat, tears, and pure love you poured into this place. The friendships made here, the celebrations, the late nights, the regulars who became family — none of that happened by accident. It happened because you built something real. We see it, we respect it, and we're not taking it for granted.

We're stepping in with a lot of excitement (and yes, a little bit of "big shoes to fill" energy). New things are coming — but the good vibes, the welcoming energy, and the sense that everyone has a seat at the bar? That's staying exactly the same.
