Meet Chef April!

Chef April’s love for cooking and baking started at a small café in her hometown of Garretson, SD. After graduating high school, she attended culinary school in Mitchell and went on to build a career doing what she loves.

For 20 years, Chef April was part of the team at C.J. Callaway’s, where her passion for baking grew into creating custom cakes and desserts for restaurants, weddings, celebrations, and more.

When C.J. Callaway’s closed in 2019, Chef April turned that next chapter into an opportunity and Cakes and Confections by Chef April was born! ❤️

Today, she continues to bring years of experience, creativity, and a whole lot of love into everything she makes from beautiful wedding and birthday cakes to custom desserts, catering, and special events.
