Ventura County orders vulnerable residents to shelter in homes, bars and restaurants to face additional restrictions - KEYT | KCOY

To Our Customers, family and friends,

As part of county wide closures, we must temporarily close our doors, starting March 18, and remain closed through the end of April to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.
Thank you for your support, patience, and understanding.

Team Firehouse

The Ventura County Public Health Officer has ordered sweeping restrictions on those who are particularly vulnerable to the coronavirus.

Thank you everyone for your phone calls this morning. Yes, we are open for normal business hours, unless a mandatory shutdown happen in Ventura County. 🙏❤️

Rumor has it, Santa is coming to the Firehouse Saturday to eat breakfast.
Sometime after 9:30

Safe shopping everyone.
We hope to see you soon!
In the mean time, here’s a friendly reminder.
When it comes to driving, here are some tips for wet roads, remember the following: Slow Down - As rain falls, it mixes with grime and oil on the road creating slick conditions perfect for skids.. Keep your headlights on.. Keep a Safe Distance - It takes about three times longer to break on wet roads than on dry roads.❤️

Power has been restored..
7:00am til 2:00pm

Looks like another day without power.
Hope everyone has a safe Halloween. Be careful out there.
Hope to be back open Friday for normal business hours.

Dear Simi Valley Schools Community:

ALL Simi Valley Public Schools will be closed again tomorrow, Thursday, October 31, because of the continued power outages, wind conditions, air quality and other issues.

Parents: Please remember that with the exception of Apollo High School, Friday is a non-student Staff Development day throughout the District and students will not have school. Apollo High School plans to have school on Friday but Apollo will notify all families tomorrow on its status.

Staff and admins: You do NOT have to report to your sites or to the District Office on Thursday. Please remain safe at home with your families. On Friday, for the planned Staff Development, we will confirm with everyone tomorrow, but as of now we are expecting to have our Staff Development activities as planned.

Thank you everyone and please be safe.

We have no power.
Everyone please be safe!

For those who are concerned about the air quality conditions and schools being open, please know that as of right now (7:45 a.m. Friday), the air quality in Simi Valley is considered "good." The air quality is predicted to worsen to a level of "moderate" during the day today. Both conditions are one main reason why the schools are open today (except for Knolls, which has no power still). Also, all elementary schools are on early dismissal for parent conferences. Knolls is the only site that is pending on holding parent conferences. But the other schools will continue with their parent conferences as scheduled UNLESS YOU ARE OTHERWISE NOTIFIED DURING THE DAY. If you want to monitor the most current air quality information, this is the site which we use: We will continue to monitor throughout the day for any changes and will adjust as needed. As of now, elementary schools will be inside all day and secondary schools will hold outside instructional classes inside. Thank you.

GETTY FIRE UPDATE: The blaze has jumped to 400 acres and more than 3,000 homes are under mandatory evacuation as the fire continues threatening homes.

Watch ABC7 for ongoing coverage of the brush fire.
