Free coffee grinds for your garden. We've been running this sustainable program for about 7 years or more, each bag is approximately 5 pounds. When you're getting your coffee ask staff and they can help you. The grinds are wet so make sure you have protection for your vehicle.

The Simi Valley Police Department and Ventura County District Attorney’s Office will hold a joint news conference on Friday June 13 to announce the arrests and charges filed against four individuals in connection with the May 25, 2025, burglary of 5 Star Jewelry in Simi Valley.

The arrests were made on June 10, 2025, following an investigation by the Simi Valley Police Department, with charges filed by the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office on June 12. Chief Shorts and District Attorney Nasarenko will provide an overview of the investigation and charges during the news conference.

By now, most have seen on the news or heard from friends around town, that Dr Conkey’s Candy and Coffee was robbed Sunday evening

A hole was cut in the roof, the thieves got in the store and were able to spray paint the camera system and evade the motion detectors. This was a professional well planned heist, unfortunately, my store was not the target.

Thieves accessed my neighbor Five Star Jewlery and wiped him out. This is probably one of the worst burglaries in the history of Simi Valley. The family of Five Star are the nicest people, great businesss neighbors and friends. Cathy and I are heart broken.

Thank you every one who has come down to rally around us and Five Star, Simi Valley is truly a great community.

Simi PD has been great and are working tirelessly. This happened around midnight Sunday the 25th into Monday (yesterday morning). If you saw anything suspicious in the area of Sycamore and Cochran please contact the Police. Conkey’s is open and will recover. Let’s all support Five Star how ever each of us can.
