The food we will serve will be fundamentally Californian. To us, this means inalienable freshness, the kind that you can only experience when the air has recently kissed the Pacific. It is an adventure and the Coast is our inspiration. It is a place where the celebration of our region’s bounty merges with the state’s diverse culinary heritage. We look to pay homage to the cooking techniques and beloved ingredients brought to California by generations of immigrants, while reflecting the evolution of modern Californian fare. We hope the food will embody the joy and passion we feel for diverse communities and lively dinner tables and look forward to sharing a meal with you soon.

Today marks 10 years of Handline!! Ten years of this farm-to-table love letter to the California coast and to our community.

We are beyond grateful for the past ten years — for our staff, the network of producers who supply us with the best out there, and of course for YOU, our beloved community, for sharing meals, afternoon cones, ping-pong games, and conversations at the bar. It’s been an honor to be a part of your life — your celebrations as well as your mid-week meals and quick pick-me-ups🍦

Every year at Handline seems to get a little sweeter, so to celebrate, we’re passing out free cones today (on our actual bday) and on Saturday for our *Big Birthday Bash!*

We hope to see you on the 10th for a fun filled day of live music, b**r, w**e, face painting and other goodies to say thank you for 10 beautiful years!

Nightshades are coming into the light ✨ Roasted Shish*to Peppers are the end-of-summer golden hour snack we're craving this week.

Local shish*tos with cherry tomatoes, basil, parsley, toasted garlic, and shaved Estero Gold cheese are the perfect opening act for dinner on the patio or a afternoon bite!

Excited to announce this Friday (9/11/26) we’ll be offering a grilled oyster special feat. Hei Ma chili crisp!

Founder Lani Chan will also have a table set up in the foyer where you can chat with her, sample the crisps, and take home a few jars for yourself!

Hei Ma makes olive oil based chili crisps that use locally grown chiles, crispy peanuts and other high-quality peak-season produce to create unique toppings that marry Sonoma County flavors with Cantonese tradition.

You won’t find any fear of leafy greens over here!
One great way to avoid produce anxiety in what feels like a season of continuous outbreaks is to know where your food comes from! Luckily, we most certainly do!

Shorter supply chains mean more attention and care goes into farming and distributing produce safely. And personal relationships with local farmers mean we get to meet our veggies where they start and follow them all the way to your plate.

Add that to the long list of things we love about where we live, and cheers to a salad season that has no reason to quit!

Anyone who says soup isn't for summer clearly hasn't been to Handline at happy hour.

The smoked trout and clam chowder is a real crowd pleaser and is only available from 3-5pm!

Luckily if you can't make it for happy hour, the Pier 45 Fisherman's stew can take care of all of your summer soup dreams all on its own. Tomato, fennel broth with daily catch, clams, mussels, and calamari and a side of tortillas. 🍅🎣
