Let’s look at some concepts for “The Other Side”

These are things that will make their way to various places in the other side and a couple of actual ceiling photos with the exposed ductwork.

Happy Thoughts of creating something wonderful to complement The Ginger Root’s existing life.

Love food….love music….love art….love ya’ll. ♥️♥️♥️

I can't figure out how to post these images in one post so let's just start with one. This is one of the possible logos we are looking at. It is both retro and futuristic. Thoughts on how it makes you feel. I love it and it will certainly make it to production but give me your FEELS...... Keisha

Image number 2 - Basically you all were right. It was inspired by a 45 adapter (music has always been a part of The Ginger Root) - Retro 70's and 80"s Soft Rock is always playing in our dining room. That is my era so it is inspired by the 45's and the albums I listened to when I began even loving music.

It is also an image suggesting all roads lead to the outer realm. - a space of connection..... Our space is The Ginger Root and all roads lead to the longitude/latitude (first image). They all tie together but it is a little confusing. It's complicated (like me) but I do need to reel it in.

Music, art and food are all beautiful elements of my life so I was trying to create a symbol that encompassed all of them. I will keep working but will post more of the drawings from the designer I hired.

Love all the comments.

Some things are worth building and rebuilding.

A nation
A dream
A gathering place

This Independence Day, we’re reminded that freedom has always been rooted in courage, perseverance, and the belief that brighter days are ahead.

While our doors remain closed for now as we rebuild, our gratitude has never been greater. Your encouragement, your prayers, and your unwavering support have reminded us that The Ginger Root is about more than a place to eat. It is about connecting, gathering, caring, sharing and many more ideals we have become to busy to take time for.

The tables will be set again.
The laughter will return.
The glasses will be raised.
The stories will continue.

Until then, may your Fourth of July be filled with the people you love, the freedom we cherish, and the quiet hope that every new beginning grows from strong roots.

Happy Independence Day.

FIRE PONDERING:

I am humbled by the way God is using what could have created a complete denial of my purpose to grow me into a better version of myself. We all experience “self-doubt” when we lead. Any leader who says otherwise is in denial of what that looks like.

As we continue to work through the effects of the disaster that has us shut-down I try to look at the positives:

Positive change can come from this.
True friends show up in ways you couldn’t possibly imagine.
Staff members become “rock-stars”.
Processes are thought through and refined.
Reflection and resetting become mandatory instead of being put on the back burner.

I could ponder thoughts for hours but there is much to do. I am thankful for the people showing up. I am thankful for God’s protection and gentle nudge telling me “I am enough and I can do this”.

We are working hard to get our building ready to become a better version of ourselves and I am thankful for EACH PERSON who is cheering us on and helping us rebuild much more than just our physical presence.

Much love,
Keisha

FIRE UPDATE:

We have started the cleanup process and we are documenting items that require attention before we are comfortable reopening.

While I do not know how long the process will take, I do know it is not a quick fix.

We have equipment replacement (to be ordered), hood assessment and repair, some structural work and general kitchen maintenance to get done before we can cook again.

With all that said, I can only speculate on how long it will take. I anticipate 4-5 weeks at a minimum.

Please be patient as we work through this and come back even better.

The post about a cook/chef employee is a replacement for the sous chef who left a couple weeks ago; but we have elected to take applications while we work through the restoration process and not act hastily.

Thank you all for supporting us with your thoughts and prayers as we work through this process.

If you are a true blue leader and already work in the culinary arena (cook/chef) and you are looking for a place to grow I am interested in talking to you. I need a strong individual who sees opportunity and isn’t afraid to work or think outside the box.

I have a great crew. I need someone who takes ownership in a project and believes in building ideas not just duplicating other people’s concepts.

One more requirement is that the small town of Samson does not scare you. Geography is geography but our buildings are located where they are and we will grow inside and around them until we grow enough to expand elsewhere.

If you are interested in discussing joining us (must be kitchen focused), email or message me.

FIRE UPDATE:

First and foremost: Everyone is fine. We have a good bit of clean up to do and some general operational assessments to work through before we can cook in our kitchen again. We are thankful it wasn’t worse. We are assessing the time frame for getting us operational and will let you know as soon as we know something.

Thank you for your uplifting. We hope to have you back around our tables very soon.

🚨 Due to a kitchen fire, we will be CLOSED until further notice.

The safety of our staff, guests, and community is our highest priority as we work through this situation and begin the cleanup process.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

We will keep everyone updated as we know more and will share our reopening plans as soon as possible!
