Shavano is a finalist for Colorado Newcomer Restaurant of the Year in this year’s HOSPYS Awards, and we couldn’t be more proud.

We believe deeply in what we’re building here. Being in a small mountain town is a huge part of what makes Shavano special, but it also makes it harder to get noticed beyond our valley.

That’s why recognition like this matters so much. It puts Shavano, and Salida, in front of people who may have never known we were here and helps bring new diners through our doors.

When we opened Shavano, one of our guiding principles was to create a place where locals and visitors could come together to celebrate this remarkable valley. A restaurant Salidans would be proud to share with friends and family.

The support we receive from our guests every day, reaffirms that we’re building the kind of place we set out to create. Mentions such as this add a little icing to the cake.
