Pumpkin Spice lovers, this one's for you!

My Pumpkin Spice Latte Cake Parfait
combines an incredibly moist pumpkin cake that’s filled with pumpkin, warm spices, brown sugar, vanilla and a hint of coffee and then topped with a creamy espresso buttercream.

It's cozy. It's spiced. It's basically fall in a cup… except you get to eat it with a spoon.

And honestly?

A Balloon Glow + crisp October air + a Pumpkin Spice Latte parfait sounds like a pretty good combination to me.

🎈 BALLOON TETHER RIDES ARE COMING! 🎈

Many of you have been asking about the hot-air balloon rides! Come experience the excitement of going up in a hot-air balloon during the Salem, MO Spectacular Balloon Glow! 🎈✨

🕒 TETHER RIDES WILL BEGIN AROUND 3:00 PM

🎟️ RIDE PRICING
• Ages 12 & under: $10
• Ages 13 & up: $20

👥 UP TO 3 PEOPLE PER RIDE
• 3 small adults
• 2 adults + 1 child
• 2 larger adults

🌤️ WEATHER PERMITTING
Balloon rides are dependent on safe weather conditions.

⚠️ SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
For everyone’s safety, riders must be able to safely enter and exit the basket in a timely manner. If you are unable to do so, you may be asked to move to the end of the line.

🚫 Rides are not recommended for individuals with hip, knee, or back problems or for pregnant women.

📋 All riders will be required to read and sign a waiver before riding.

When you see the balloons light up the sky on October 24th, you’ll see the fun, the food, the vendors, the activities, and a community coming together.

What you don’t always see is everything that happens before that moment.

There are countless phone calls, emails, meetings, permits, planning sessions, vendor coordination, sponsorships, logistics, weather plans, setup, cleanup, and a whole lot of late nights that go into making an event like this happen.

Catherine, Melissa, and I have put an incredible amount of time and energy into bringing this event to Salem because we truly believe our community deserves events that bring people together.

And that’s really what this is about.

It’s about giving families something fun to look forward to.
It’s about giving local businesses and vendors an opportunity to be seen.
It’s about bringing people into our community and giving them a reason to spend the day here.
It’s about creating memories for kids.
And it’s about showing what Salem and Dent County can do when we come together.

🎈 Our very first year brought around 4,000 people to the Balloon Glow.

Now we’re setting our sights even higher.

Our goal this year is simple: BEAT IT. 🔥🎈

We want to see even more families, more visitors, more businesses, more vendors, and more people experiencing what our community has to offer.

And we need your help to make that happen.

SUGARPEA SWEETS IS READY TO CREATE!

After a little unexpected pause, a whole lot of rearranging, and getting my new little cake studio ready, I’m SO excited to finally say…

I’M READY TO START ACCEPTING CUSTOM CAKE ORDERS AGAIN!

My cake decorating table is ready.
My supplies are finding their new homes.

So as I settle into my new studio and figure out my new workflow, I’m going to be keeping custom orders a little more manageable. For the time being, I’ll be limiting tiered cakes to a maximum of two tiers.

My new studio is cozy… VERY cozy 😂… and while I’m excited to see what I can create in my new space, I’m not quite ready to tackle the giant cakes I used to make until I know exactly what works for me in here.

Whether you're celebrating a birthday, wedding, anniversary, baby shower, graduation, or just need an excuse for cake (and honestly, do we really need an excuse? 😋), I’d love to create something special for you!
