We are in a staffing transition, and a school-aged kiddo transition. We will be open Thursday 9/3 through Sunday 9/6 with our regular hours. See you then!

One year ago today we lost our buddy, Derek. As I looked back for photos to post, there were hundreds and hundreds to comb through over the last 4+ years.

One thing I noticed was that although it was mostly pictures of shave ice, it was much more than that. Derek took pictures and videos of small moments. He recorded when our daughter visited the shop and ran up to us. He snapped beautiful, family moments amid the chaos of owning a small business. He recorded us just working, or being goofy and dancing, or he thought to record when the shop was completely full with a line out the door.

I'm not posting all of these photos/videos, because I want to make sure it's about him. I want to share though because it was his thoughtfulness, attention to detail, and positivity that made him so unique.

We miss him every day, and we make sure he is represented at our shop always. Here's to you, buddy.

Jumping on this trend! Zephyr Ice is a labor of love and we could not feel more grateful to be doing what we do.

Every so often people walk into the shop, and then leave because they are overwhelmed. We promise it's worth it to stick around and give it a try (at least - we think so 😉).
